To uncover something new you have to look beyond what you already know. That is exactly what Herbert Stava and Hannes Strobl had in mind when they began cultivating the soybean, so widely appreciated in Asia for millennia, in Lower Austria for the first time in 1986. The Stava family farm in Bruck an der Leitha provided the best conditions for their experiments: a mild climate, sun-filled fields and nutrient-rich soil, free from any kind of environmental pollution. "Landgarten” translates as "a garden in the country”, and that is exactly what the Stava family farm is.

The soybean felt right at home here and has since flourished. Today this valuable plant grows and thrives by the thousands in Landgarten’s fields, contributing significantly to Landgarten’s success with its wholesome nutrients and refined taste.
